The RJD was elected as the sole representative of Bihar’s people in the state’s legislature in the year 2020. The Mahagathbandhan, or grand alliance, was the single largest party, but it was unable to establish a government because the majority remained with the NDA.
With 242 seats in the Assembly, the majority mark was 121, and a party or an alliance needed 122 seats to win in the Bihar Assembly.
There are now 74 seats in the NDA held by the BJP alone, while the JD(U) is left with 43 seats. A total of four were won by the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), while a total of four were won by the Hindustan Awaam Party (HAP).
