Raj Thackeray, the leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), told his party workers that he didn’t want to cause any problems for Muslims during the Eid festival by performing the “Maha Aarti” on May 3, 2022, which had been planned for that day.
As previously said, he believes that his fight against loudspeakers is a societal problem, and on Tuesday, he will provide details of his next intentions through Twitter.

Maharashtra Sainiks (MNS personnel) were told at the protest in Aurangabad, the day before yesterday, to refrain themselves from doing Maha Arti on the auspicious festival of Akshaya Tritiya, as was previously agreed. “We are under no obligation to create hindrances to anyone’s celebrations.” said the leader.
This is not a religious problem; rather, it is a societal issue concerning the use of loudspeakers. What we need to do in response to this will be determined in the future. On this subject, I shall express my thoughts through a tweet the next day. For the time being, this is all I have to say; read the MNS head’s tweet which was sent out in Marathi.
Starting on May 4, 2022, if loudspeakers aren’t removed from mosques, the Hanuman Chalisa will be played at twice the volume of the Azaan, which is a call to prayer by Muslims. According to the MNS leader, loudspeakers at mosques are a “social problem, not a religious one.” He also emphasized that he was strong on the May 3 deadline for their removal.
Thackeray said that loudspeaker use is not a religious matter, but rather a national one, and he threatened that if they do not cease, we would also take a position against them. “This is not a religious matter in the traditional sense. It is a national problem, but if you prevent us from taking a position, we will as well. All of the loudspeakers violate the law and are thus unlawful,” said Raj Thackeray.
The Supreme Court had previously ruled that it was unlawful, and it was not a question of Sambhajinagar’s jurisdiction (Aurangabad). “When we go to take Sabha, they tell us that it is an education zone, a temple zone, and that we are not allowed to take Sabha.”
