Accidental Release and Revealed Features

Nokia G50, as a part of the affordable G-series, is the next phone Nokia is all set to release. Along with it holding the tag of the cheapest 5G phone, it will also be the first in the G-series with that connectivity feature.

Although the team deleted the post as soon as they could, NokiaMob.net managed to get a screenshot and posted it on their profile which caught the public’s attention. The news of the Nokia G50 5G was released accidentally by the Nokia team in France.

The team uploaded the visuals of the phone through a GIF on their Instagram page. Although the GIF did not explicitly release the specifications of the phone, it revealed the visual aesthetic and the design details of the phone.

The released GIF projects the front and back design of the smartphone. The smartphone carries the signature style of the Nokia phone with a primary circular camera on the back and a “notch display” housing a secondary/front camera.

However, the GIF does not display a fingerprint sensor at the back, implying that a power button fingerprint sensor may be one of the features of the phone. According to the released footage, the Nokia G50 closely resembles its preceding phone, G20.

It has a polycarbonate body with a teardrop style notch display. The Nokia logo is imprinted on the bottom of the display screen as well as on the back.

According to India Today, there may be two variants of the phone: a 4GB RAM and a 64GB storage model that may be sold for INR 11,000 and a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model that may roughly cost INR 25,000.

A 48-Megapixel Camera and Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Processor

Expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, Nokia G50 5G will have a reasonably strong processor.

For all the customers who love a good camera quality, there is an assumption that the phone will consist of a triple camera setup, with the primary camera having a 48-megapixel visual quality.

With the rear camera having an autofocus setup, there is news that Nokia G50 will provide a single camera setup for the secondary camera or selfies. A dual-sim phone, the Nokia G50, will be functioned by Android 11 and will also support Nano sim cards.

The phone will be primarily released in three colours, namely: Midnight Sun, Forest Black and Blue. The phone will provide the following connectivity options: Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and 4G and will also support Band 40 – used by some LTE networks in the country.

The phone will also have specific features like ambient light, proximity, fingerprint, and accelerometer, according to speculations. As estimated in the reports, Nokia G50 will be for sale ranging from INR 11,000 in the Indian market.

Although the company is yet to release an official statement regarding the launch date, it is rumoured to release in the month of September.
