Nothing is launching its first smartphone today at 8:30 pm. The event is taking place in London.

Nothing is a London-based tech company. Its mission is to remove barriers between people and technology.

Nothing started in 2020 when they raised $7 million from investors and friends. Key investors include Tony Fadell, Casey Neistat, Kevin Lin and Steve Huffman.

Nothing Phone 1 will be launched in India exclusively via Flipkart. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 30,000.

Nothing Phone 1 will not be released in North America but there are future plans to release the phone with private investors.

Specifications of Nothing Phone 1

It will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ Chipset with support for 5G.
It will have a 6.55” OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. (20:9 ratio).
It has a dual-camera setup in the rear which include a 50MP main shooter and a 16MP ultra-wide.
In front, it has a 16P selfie camera with a focal length of 2.2 (wider field of view).
It has a 4500mAh battery with support for 30W Type-C fast charging.
It weighs only 199 grams with a glass front and aluminium frame.
It is available in 2 colours – Black and White.
It has a stereo speaker but no 3.55mm headphone jack.
It also has Bluetooth 5.2 for faster connectivity.

Although it has a middle-range chipset, it will perform well on daily tasks as chipsets have come a long way from the past.

It has a very unique look on its back. It has LEDs and a glass back to show the insides of the phones. LEDs are not just for show, they can be configured to show the battery level, and notifications and even be used as a flash.

It also has a wireless charging pad which can reverse charge other wireless charging capable smartphones.
