Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh got embroiled in numerous controversies when he posed nude in a photoshoot for a magazine. While a few observed the photoshoot as as extraordinarily bold, a section of people and a few ladies found it offensive.

Meanwhile, earlier a complaint was filed against Ranveer Singh over his nude photoshoot before the Maharashtra State Commission for Women. According to the complainant, Advocate Ashish Rai, the nude photo shoot done by the Bajirao Mastani actor, is against the ‘dignity of ladies and small children.
He said that keeping in thought the seriousness of the matter, a notice must be issued to the Bajirao actor on behalf of the commission. The FIR was registered against Ranveer Singh at Chembur police station under the IPC and IT Act.
The actor has been registered under IPC sections 292 (obscenity, sale or exhibiting publicly material for sale), section 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), and phase 509 (word, gesture, or act meant to insult the modesty of ladies).
The FIR turned primarily based totally on the complaint filed against the 37-year-old actor by an NGO known as Shyam Mangaram Foundation. In their complaint, the NGO accused Ranveer of hurting the emotions of women at large.
