Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), which will compete in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as a member of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), made the announcement on Sunday that it had joined the alliance.
Why alliance?
The improvement came a day after Rajbhar met Association home minister and BJP’s main survey planner Amit Shah in New Delhi months after he broke attaches with the Samajwadi Party with whom it challenged the UP get together surveys.
The BJP’s choice to charm him back into the NDA features its miniature endeavors to reinforce its presence all-over the state which sends 80 MPs to Lok Sabha.
Politician’s view
Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, president of the UP BJP, had stated earlier this year that Rajbhar was an “old friend.” For the BJP, no one is out of their reach. The party is prepared to join anyone who shares the BJP’s viewpoints. The BJP is a vast sea. He had stated, “Rabbhar is an old friend of ours.”
“Met Shri @oprajbhar ji in Delhi and chose to join the NDA union drove by State head Shri @narendramodi ji. I invite him to the NDA family,” Shah tweeted.
“The appearance of Rajbhar ji will reinforce the NDA in Uttar Pradesh and the endeavors being made by the NDA under the administration of Modi ji for the government assistance of poor people and discouraged will get further strength,” he added.
On his choice of joining the NDA, Rajbhar said, “We met Association Home Pastor Amit Shah on July 14 and talked about different issues and chose to battle the 2024 decisions together. I would like to express my gratitude to PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for taking us along.”
History
According to Arvind Rajbhar, president of the SBSP, the party formed an alliance with the NDA in 2017, but it split up due to a number of issues. “After agreement on those issues, the alliance has been worked out this time,” he stated.
The alliance between the SBSP and the Samajwadi Party (SP) during the 2022 UP Assembly elections eventually soured. Rajbhar had cast a cross-vote in favor of NDA nominee Droupadi Murmu in the 2022 presidential election, which she won. The SP then told Rajbhar that he could go anywhere he thought would garner more respect for him.
