Fake tweet from BJP’s State Chief Madan Kaushik has sparked controversy. Owaisi reacted on Dhami’s commitment to implement Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand.
After Uttarakhand CM promised to form a committee to look upon ways to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state if the BJP comes to power again, AIMIM Chief Owaisi said that BJP has realized that it is losing it’s voter base.
Therefore, BJP is making false promises to come to power again.
“They have said it only at the end. They are saying this out of anxiety as the ground beneath them is slipping away,” he added.
While speaking to media persons, Asaduddin Owaisi said that he went through BJP’s Manifesto for Uttarakhand and found no mention of implementation of Uniform Civil Code in it. He
reminded that Supreme Court had mentioned several times that the country is not ready for Uniform Civil Code and expressed concern about not taking steps on it.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami, promised to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state while addressing a press conference. “Implementing Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand at The earliest will boost equal rights for everyone in the state.
It will enhance social harmony, promote gender justice, strengthen women empowerment and help protect the extraordinary cultural-spiritual identity and environment of the state,” said CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday.
Opposition parties criticized him on his Uniform Civil code promise. Only BJP Yuva Morcha and BJP itself praised him for his move. Vishwa Hindu Parishad also praised CM for this step.
The other day, Owaisi said that the Chief Minister must try to understand that Uniform does not mean common dress. Owaisi also clarified that India is ‘One Nation,’ but there are ‘many cultures’ and people have the right to preserve their culture under article 29 of the Indian Constitution.
Another controversy in the state has been sparked by a viral tweet from the Twitter Handle of BJP’s Uttarakhand State Chief Madan Kaushik. The tweet said that Madan Kaushik is taking responsibility for BJP’s defeat in the state. The tweet also talked about his resignation.
At his request, the party’s social media in-charge, Shekhar Verma, has asked the Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun to complain about the perpetrators under the sections of the IT Act. Kaushik has reacted to this and clarified that the tweet is fake. He called it a conspiracy.
Party has accused Congress of this. BJP’s Uttarakhand media in-charge Manvir Singh Chauhan said to the press, “The Congress can see its defeat, so it is circulating a fake tweet as part of a conspiracy to mislead people about the BJP and Kaushik.”
The complaint has been lodged against Pradeep, who took a screenshot of the tweet and changed its content to tarnish the image of BJP and Madan Kaushik.
Earlier BJP MLA from Laksar, Sanjay Singh, alleged Kaushik for supporting the BSP candidate instead of him and called him a traitor. He demanded the resignation of the State BJP Chief.
