People are awestruck by Park Eun Bin’s extraordinary and exceptional acting
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is the most recent Netflix series, which debuted on 29th June and is still ongoing. There are many ongoing legal dramas, and this is one of them, but with a touch of warmth and kindness.
This is Korea‘s first show featuring an attorney with autism (Autism is a serious disease that affects the nervous system and impairs the strength to interact or communicate). Netflix receives a lot of attention and praise for this lovely drama.
This drama tells the story of an attorney named Woo Young Woo who has the ability to spot legal acrobatics that other lawyers miss. In reality, South Korea’s Mental health score is not even good, but the characters in dramas dealing with mental health are amazing. Their style of writing characters and stories is fantastic.
Park Eun Bin, the actress, did a splendid job with her acting. She also appeared in Stove League, The King’s Affection, Do You Like Brahms?, Age of Youth, The Ghost Detective, Judge vs Judge, and a number of other shows and films.
Woo Young lives with her father, her father Woo Gwang (Jeon Bae Su) who runs a small kimbap restaurant. Furthermore, She was born with autism, which she manages through whales and Criminal Laws.
She enjoyed law as a child and used to read her father’s law books. She began her career at the most prestigious law firm, Hanbada Law Firm, after graduating from Seoul National University at the top of her class.
When she first joined the Hanbada Law Firm, she was assigned to senior lawyer Jung Myeong Seok (Kang Ki Young). With hesitation and limited eye contact, she introduces herself in an eccentric manner, including rating off a series of syllabic palindromes (she likes this) that sound exactly like her name.
Her superior (Myeong Seok) is irritated by her involvement, in what he believes is a charity case, but Hanbada CEO Han Seon Yeong (Baek Ji Won) is convinced that she is the perfect person for the job and burdens him to assign her cases. Her first case was of an elderly woman assaulting her irascible husband, she happens to know that couple.
Young is sharp at memorising all the laws, but her true strength is her ability to think outside the box. When Young Woo performs one of her legitimate advances, time slows down, the camera swoops in on her, her eyes wide open, the wind blows through her hair, and a giant whale squiggles out across the screen.
In each episode, Young Woo deals with new cases. There are many series that present mental problems, such as Our Blues, which features a character with Down’s syndrome and Move to Heaven which features a character on the autism spectrum. Marathon, a 2005 film starring Cho Seung Woo, also features a character with autism.
Autism and Law go hand in hand in Korean shows, in 2019, the film Innocent Witness is about a lawyer attempting to obtain credible witness statements from an autistic teenager who was the primary witness to a death. Innocent Witness was also written by writer Moon Ji Woon. Fans are really impressed by the storyline and the acting.
The show has a total of 16 Episodes with a duration of 1 Hr 17 minutes. Written by Moon Ji Woon and directed by Yoo In Shik. Star Cast- Park Eun Bin, Kang Tae Oh, Kang Ki Young, Jeon Bae Soo, Baek Ji Won. The show airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There have only been 5 episodes so far.
