In an online briefing on Monday, Arvind Kejriwal accuses the central govt of writing-off bad loans of its friends but opposing free education and healthcare for citizens
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday conducted an online briefing and said that some people are trying to create an atmosphere against free government schemes like free education and free healthcare by terming them “free ki revdi.”
Kejriwal’s reaction is to the statement made by Prime Minister Modi while inaugurating an infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh in July. PM Modi indirectly accused the Aam Aadmi Party of offering “free ki revdi” (freebies) to garner votes.
He further said that the people who oppose the government’s free welfare schemes should be called “traitors”.
Taking a jibe at the union government, he claimed that the public money is being used to write-off “bad loans of 10 lakh crore” and such an act should be considered treason.
“A law should be made to declare such activities as treason and it must be probed how much donation these parties are receiving.” Kejriwal fumed.
‘Dostivaad’ and ‘Parivarvaad’ accuses Arvind Kejriwal
Without naming anybody, Kejriwal accused the BJP of “dostivaad”(favoring friends) and Congress of “parivarvaad” (dynasty politics). He further added that Aam Aadmi Party is trying to bring “bharatvaad.”
In his online briefing the Aam Aadmi Party chief demanded the central government to provide free education and good healthcare to citizens. He also demanded that a provision for unemployment allowance should also be made.
He further questioned why only ministers should get free electricity and not ordinary citizens. What’s wrong with providing free education and water? He asked.
Aam Aadmi Party eyeing Gujarat
Aam Aadmi Party has been aggressively campaigning in Gujarat for the forthcoming assembly elections.
During a rally last month, the Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal promised jobs and 300 units of free electricity every month for the people of Gujarat.
He promised the implementation of free electricity within three months of forming the government.
Aam Aadmi Party seems to be confident of doing well in the upcoming elections in Gujarat.
