Central bans 5 years under UAPA, also bans 8 affiliated organizations
The Central Government has banned the Popular Front of India and eight organizations associated with it for 5 years. The organization has been booked under the Unlawful Activities Act. PSI is accused of having links with terrorist organizations and indulging in anti-national activities. Meanwhile, the Center has asked states to take action against PFI under UAPA. In the notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday, PFI was declared illegal. That is, PFI will not be able to carry out any activity, neither it will have any office nor membership or campaign will run. There will be a ban on taking funds, if the organization or its members violate it, then strict action will be taken.

-Property will be confiscated and bank accounts will be frozen
-The Central Government will approach the UAPA Tribunal within 30 days after the notification is issued to confirm the ban.
-Will continue the investigation by legal agencies against arrested PFI members
-Any person dissatisfied with the restrictions of the government can go to the district judge’s court within 14 days from the date of training of the order, the district judge will decide on this.
why the ban: According to the order, the PFI and its organizations were working toward weakening democracy by radicalizing a particular class under a secret agenda. Its work is grossly disrespectful to the constitutional framework, and the involvement in illegal activities of PFI and associate organizations is against the country’s integrity, sovereignty and security. It is feared to disturb the atmosphere of peace and communal harmony and encourage extremism in the country.
links with terrorist organizations: According to the Center, the founding members of PFI have been the Students Islamic Movement of India leaders. It is also related to Jamaat ul Mujahideen Bangladesh. Both these organizations are banned. There are many examples of PFI’s contact with IAS.

1. Campus Front of India

3. AIIC- Mohammad Ahmed Nadvi

4. A N C H R O
The National Confederation of Human Rights Organization’s network is spread across 14 states. It is claimed that the organization works for the protection of human rights. It was formed on May 1997 in Calicut, Kerala. according to agencies, the organization is operated with foreign funding, its chairperson is Professor A Marks.
5. ANWAF
National Women’s Friend has formed 13 years ago in 2009, its headquarter is in Calicut, this organization was behind running the Right to Hijab campaign across the country in September this year. 2017 The organization is working towards mass conversion, Lubna Siraj is the president of the National Women’s Front.

This PAFI-affiliated organization claims that it worked for the development of children’s education, although its activities were much less than other organizations.
8. RIHAIB India foundation
