In a huge effort to advance infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday officially opened and set the cornerstone for eight projects totaling more than 7,500 crore in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
PM Modi said in his speech to the crowd in Raipur that today is a momentous day in Chhattisgarh’s growth.
According to him, the initiatives will help Chhattisgarh’s infrastructure development and advance state development.
“Today, Chhattisgarh is receiving gifts of projects with a total value of close to 7,500 crore.
The purpose of this gift is to improve connectivity and infrastructure while also making life easier for Chhattisgarh’s citizens, he added.
He remarked, referring to individuals living in remote areas, “The central government is bringing modern infrastructure to those areas where people were previously subject to social injustice.”
PM Modi said that social justice and modern infrastructure are related while addressing the crowd on the occasion.
The percentage of villages in Chhattisgarh without any sort of cell access was over 20% nine years ago, but it is now just approximately 6%, according to the prime minister.
Additionally, he emphasized that the majority of these tribal settlements, whose connection has improved, were before impacted by Naxalite violence.
The Prime Minister noted that while relating to social justice, the Government is putting in more than 700 cell towers to ensure good 4G access.
The foundation stone for five National Highway projects totaling about Rs 6,400 crores was laid by the Prime Minister.
After dedicating numerous significant infrastructure projects, the prime minister stated that India is currently constructing more infrastructure in the places that lagged in the fight for growth.

The 33 km long Raipur to Kodebod portion of the Jabalpur-Jagdalpur National Highway with four lanes.
The 53 km (4-lane) Bilaspur-Pathrapali section of NH-130 from Bilaspur to Ambikapur.
Lay the cornerstone for the building of the three parts Jhanki-Sargi (43 km), Sargi-Basanwahi (57 km), and Basanwahi-Marangpuri (25 km).
The 103 km long Raipur-Khariar Road Rail Line was doubled, which the PM dedicated to the nation.
a new 17-kilometer-long railway line running between Keoti and Antgarh
An Indian Oil Corporation bottling facility in Korba with an annual capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes.
PM Modi Highlights Chhattisgarh’s Economic Corridors
The two ongoing economic corridors in Chhattisgarh are mentioned by PM Modi as a way of bringing about development in the state.
These are the economic corridors from Raipur to Dhanbad and from Raipur to Vishakapatnam.
These economic corridors go through areas with high aspirations but were previously thought to be undeveloped.
Additionally, the prior violence and anarchy in these areas were well-known, PM added.
The economic progress of India is currently being driven by these same districts, he continued.
Through the Ayushman Bharat program, Modi gave 75 lakh cards to beneficiaries.
The PM claimed that the Mudra Yojna had provided aid totaling Rs 40,000 crore to young people in Chhattisgarh.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, roads have been built to thousands of tribal villages in Chhattisgarh during the past nine years.
Here, projects for a 3,500 km long National Highway have received government approval. The projects totaling nearly 3000 km in this have also been finished, the PM remarked.
He stated that the Government had given Chhattisgarh more than Rs 25,000 crore for the creation of adequate jobs under MNREGA in the rural.
The Prime Minister emphasized the promise of free care up to Rs. 5 lakhs per year in more than 1500 large state hospitals for the poor and tribal families.
The ceremony was attended by the Chhattisgarh Governor, Biswabhusan Harichandan; the Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel; the Deputy Chief Minister, TS Singhdeo; the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari; and the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.
