The next pitstop for PM Narendra Modi will be Varanasi to lay the foundation stone of ample projects worth more than ₹1780 crores, on Friday. Furthermore, on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, PM will also address the One World TB Summit at Rudrakash Convention Centre.
The honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s next stop is Varanasi, later today. There, PM Modi will dedicate and start more than 1780 crores worth of projects that will help the people of Varanasi.
PM Modi’s Varanasi Agenda | Addressing One World TB Summit
At 10:30AM, the Prime Minister will address the One World TB Summit at Rudrakash Convention Centre, on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day. Organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Stop TB Partnership, Modi will instill & integrate various projects worth more than Rs 1780 crores at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University ground.
The Prime Minister will chair the One World TB Summit, owing to World Tuberculosis Day, being organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Stop TB Partnership. Giving a platform for people, communities & countries to voice their Tuberculosis concerns, the UN-hosted organization, Stop TB Partnership, has operated since the year 2001.
PM Modi At Varanasi | Unveiling Initiatives Close To Varanasi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil initiatives close to Varanasi’s progress including the TB-Mukht Panchayat initiative, the official TB Preventive Treatment pan-India rollout & a family-oriented care model for Tuberculosis.
In March 2018, the PM Modi had envisioned India to achieve TB-related SDG targets by 2025, five years ahead of its stipulated timeline, during the End TB Summit. Working towards the eradication of Tuberculosis, the PM will also commemorate select States, UTs & Districts for their perpetual quest towards ending the wide-spreading disease.
Instilling opportunities to deliberate upon further actionable targets to be achieved as the country moves forward to meet its TB elimination objectives, the One World TB Summit will also be a learning ground for National TB Elimination Programmes. International delegates across 30 countries are scheduled to be present at the summit.

PM Modi Making Local Varanasi Livelihoods Simpler
Charting ease of movement for local tourists & pilgrims of Varanasi, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Passenger Ropeway from the Varanasi Cantt Station to Godowlia, the estimated costing of the project being 645 crores. The Passenger Ropeway will be 3.75 kms in length, with 5 stations.
To be established at an estimated cost of more than 300 crores, the PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of 55 MLD sewage plant at Bhagwanpur which would come under the Namami Ganga Scheme.
PM Modi’s Varanasi Health Agenda | Sanitized Water Systems
Focusing on the critical aspects of health, Modi will lay the foundation stone on various health-centric projects like the primary health center in Bharthara village. Ensuring the Varanasi gram panchayats are benefited with sanitized water systems, the Prime Minister will dedicate 19 drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission. To further improve the rural drinking water hygiene practices, PM Modi will instill 59 drinking water schemes under the same mission.
Strengthening the overall infrastructure of Varanasi, Modi will dedicate infrastructure-related projects like the ATC tower at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport; 2 solar power plants situated at Bhelupur; 800 KW solar power plant at Konia Pumping Station; Community Health Centre at Sarnath & the rejuvenation of Kedareshwar, Vishweshwar and Omkareshwar Khand Parikrama temples.
