On the occasion of Dussehra, the fight is on in Mumbai that who is the real Shiv Sena and who will emerge as the winner in the BMC election. In Shiv Sena’s 56 years of history, it will be the first time when there will be two Dussehra rallies in Mumbai. Uddhav Thackeray’s rally will take place in Shiva Ji Park and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s rally will take place on BKC ground. Both the camps are presenting themselves as authentic Shiv Sena.
Both the camps released a teaser video in which they criticised each other. Thousands of people will come from other places in Maharashtra to join these rallies. The allegation has also been imposed on the Shind’s group that they have spent Ten Crore rupees on transportation for the people who are coming in their rally whereas in Uddhav’s rally people are coming barefoot. It might be interesting for the people, but it is going to be very challenging for Mumbai Police to maintain law and order during rallies.
Eknath Shinde on Bala Saheb Thackeray
Eknath Shinde’s group also used the slogan on their stage which was given by Bala Saheb Thackeray “Garv Se Kaho Hum Hindu Hain” in order to show the people that they are the real Shiv Sena, even the workers of Shinde’s Shiv Sena are saying that Bala Saheb Thackeray once said that it will better to dissolve Shive Sena than taking Congress and NCP as an ally.
Shinde’s group has also kept 51 feet of the sword, and they are saying that they have kept it there for worshipping purpose, and they have also said that they will bring Bala Saheb Thackeray’s Chair in the evening, so grand preparation is going on, and it is also a fight of title that who is following the real ideology of Shiv Sena. It seems that it will be going to be the biggest rally of Eknath Shinde’s career.
One fight is already going on in front of the election commission that who is the real Shiv Sena, but the other fight of perception is also taking place among the people and both the groups are trying their level best to prove themselves as the king of Mumbai.
From the order of the court, Uddhav Thackeray got permission to perform his rally in the historic Shiva Ji Park which has the capacity of 4 – 5 lacs people, but it has been said that the program will be going to be considered as successful if around 200k people will gather in that park. Before the division, Eknath Shinde used to be the manager of this ground Dussehra program he used to manage all the facilities but he will not be here. And Uddhav Thackeray might feel alone this time on the stage because most of his prominent comrades has left.
If we talk about the arrangement then it looks like Shinde’s camp has an edge. Camp Shinde is serving Kachori, Thepla, and Gulab Jamun to their people whereas camp Thackeray is serving Bhel Puri as snacks and in dinner, they may serve Pulao to their people. So, from the political understanding, we can say that now Shinde’s group has more stock than Uddhav’s group.
But there is a hope that Uddhav Thackeray still has the power to fill this ground upto its maximum capacity because he still has 13 to 14 prominent leaders in the city, and he also has the support of thousands of people from other cities of Maharashtra and If Uddhav Thackeray manages to do so then it will be a strong message to the opposition that people from Uddhav’s core constituency has not left him.
Supporter of Uddhav Thackeray are calling Shinde’s group traitors, they are saying that they have betrayed Uddhav Thackeray and the Thackeray family.
Whereas supporters of CM Eknath Shinde are saying that it doesn’t matter if Eknath Shinde does not have Thackeray in his title we are supporting him because he is a true follower of Bala Saheb’s ideology.
But these Dussehra rallies do not just rally but a trailer of an upcoming political battle because the strength of people will be going to play a major role in the BMC election.
