Rahul Gandhi is Guilty of Defamation
Gandhi on Thursday was found guilty of infamy for a 2019 campaign trail remark for his remarks on Narendra Modi painting him culpable for half of the crimes in Nation. His remark about all the political criminals sharing Modi as the common surname created a politically tense climate in Karnataka’s Kolar, which brought him severe attacks from all sides. Even several complaints get lodged against him for his conduct in various cities.
The Surat court that convicted Gandhi let him free on bail for 30 days as an allowance to let him appeal the decision. Rahul Gandhi is attacked from all sides
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sharma targeted Gandhi after his disqualification, substantiating his arguments with Hindi philosophy, saying that “Karma strikes you back.” He straightforwardly attacks him by justifying the Lok Sabha’s decision for his intentional abuse of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community and rejecting the Ordinance in 2013. He mockingly states that he will continue to engage in his Bharat Jodo Programme now that he has been ousted from the Parliament itself.
Interestingly, his comments were released a day after the media leaked clues regarding a worldwide campaign soon to be held on Mr. Gandhi’s qualification as a Lok Sabha MP. However, Gandhi retaliated back today by refusing to apologize for his remarks in London and the defamation trial since his “name is not Sarvarkar.” While Himanta, in response, said that he has to face the wrath of the entire community if he drags them down.
The Bahujan Samaj Party’s President, Mayawati, will critique the entire buzz, saying that political malice and hatred are not helpful, have never benefited the country in the past, and neither will do so in the future.
Mayawati says that the Congress leaders must think about whether their comments are justified now or in the context of the 1975 emergency. In a series of tweets, she will say that due to their extreme self-centered politics, both Congress and BJP leaders have started deviating from public warfare and focusing on the essential problems of penury, unemployment, and backwardness. She further adds that, had the government worked earnestly in the last 75 years, India would have become a truly humanitarian, prosperous, and leading country.
Khushbu Sundar, an actor and a member of the National Commission for Women who joined the BJP in 2020, is in a tight spot after Rahul’s disqualification. As a former Congress member, she links the surname Modi with corruption. She further charged back, saying that the party was just desperate to dig up her old tweets. Clarifying his former position as a congress member, she said that she was never ashamed of the “Modi” tweet as she was just being the mouthpiece of the party.
Gujarat’s minister, Purnesh Modi, after Rahul’s debarment, now warns of filing a case against Khushbu Sundar. However, Gandhi has yet to appeal in the High Court.
