Former Rajasthan minister and MLA from Udaipurwati assembly constituency in Jhunjhunu district, Rajendra Gudha raised attack on Gehlot government further. He criticized his own government over security concerns for women.
Reason for being sacked.
After the horrendous video of Manipur girls being paraded naked went viral. The Congress and all major opposition launched an all-out attack on the Modi government. Since then opposition has been demanding PM’s statement in parliament over the Manipur issue and the reason why he was silent for so long.
Interestingly, during the ongoing protest of the opposition on July 21, Mr. Rajendra Guha attacked his own government in Rajasthan assembly. He questioned his own government over safety of women and said that the Rajasthan government needs to introspect itself before questioning on Manipur issue.
Within hours, the minister of state (MoS) for sainik kalyan, panchayati raj, rural development, home guard, and civil defence was sacked as a minister.

Rajendra Gudha, 55 is currently an MLA from Udaipurwati in Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan. In 2018 he won the seat on BSP ticket securing 59362 votes. He switched to Congress from BSP and was made a minister in 2021.
Mr. Guha has been known for switching sides. In 2008 he emerged victorious from the same seat on BSPs ticket. Then too he had changed sides and went to Congress. In 2013 he lost from congress ticket and fought on BSP ticket in 2018.
Earlier he supported the Gehlot camp during the Pilot rebellion in 2020. Since last year he has been actively criticizing Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and has become a supporter of Sachin Pilot.
The controversial red diary
Mr. Gudha after being sacked claimed that he is in possession of red diary that contains all irregular financial transactions of Mr. Ashok Gehlot. While addressing in Jhunjuna he asserted that during a raid by the enforcement directorate and income tax department at Dharmendra Rathore house, he was able to retrieve the diary. Mr. Ashok Gehlot had asked to retrieve that diary at any cost, he claimed.
Targeting the government, Mr. Gudha said “Send me to prison or shoot me, I will continue to fight for the security of sisters and daughters of the state till my last breath.”
It will be interesting to see how much damage Mr. Gudha claims cause to Mr. Ashok Gehlot in the upcoming Rajasthan elections. Will BJP be able to take advantage of internal fight in the rajasthan congress?
