Actor Rajkumar Rao unveiled the reason behind applying Sindoor in his wedding with Patralekhaa.
Actor Rajkummar Rao recently opened up about the incident which caught everyone’s eyes at his and Patralekhaa’s wedding. The moment when Patralekhaa applied Sindoor on Rajkumar’s forehead after he did the same. He said that the decision of applying sindoor was ‘impulsive’ and ‘unplanned’ and called it an ‘act of equality.’
Mr Rao got married to Patralekhaa in November 2021 in Chandigarh.
Before the marriage, the lovebirds Rajkummar and Patralekhaa dated for over a decade which is around 11 years. They even worked together before marriage. In 2014 they worked in the Hansal Mehta film Citylights and in a web shoe Bose: Dead/Alive. Their love story is like a super-hit rom-com movie, with so much love and laughter in one story.

Rajkumar Rao tells reporters about everyone’s reaction
Talking to New18, Rajkumar Rao revealed what made them do so, “I didn’t really read all the comments but I know a lot many people picked it up and a lot of articles were being written, in a good way. People appreciated that and it was something that was very impulsive. None of us planned it.”
Mr Rao added, “I am somebody who really believes in equality and will never see somebody below me. We both are equal and that’s how it should be. So, yeah, it was very impulsive and wasn’t planned. I am glad it happened and I am hoping that somewhere it stuck people’s hearts.”
Rajkummar will be next seen in HIT: The First Case which is going to release on July 15. Rajkumar Rao shares the screen with Sanya Malhotra in this movie. HIT: The First Case is a Hindi remake of a 2020 hit Telugu movie with the same name. HIT is directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who also directed the original Telugu sequel.
Mr Rao has some more projects this year. He will be next seen in Bheed with Bhadhaai Do actress Bhumika Pednekar. Rajkumar’s other movie is Mr and Mrs Mahi, with Janhvi Kapoor.
