Telugu superstar Ram Charan made a significant announcement on the occasion of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s 140th birth anniversary. He revealed that he would be venturing into production for the first time with his upcoming pan-India project titled “The India House.” The film will feature Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupam Kher in the lead roles.
Ram Charan took to Twitter to share an animated promo video that unveiled the movie’s title and the names of the actors involved. In his tweet, he expressed pride in announcing “The India House” on the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. The film will be directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, who will be making his directorial debut with this project. Ram Charan’s production banner, V Mega Pictures, in collaboration with renowned producer Abhishek Agarwal, will produce the film.
The promo video, spanning 95 seconds, revealed that the movie is based on a forgotten chapter in Indian history. It teased the tagline “revolution is brewing” and shed light on the India House, a student residence located in Highgate, North London, between 1905 and 1910. The building served as a hub for political activism and became a significant platform for revolutionary Indian nationalism abroad. Notable figures such as Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Bhikaji Cama, VN Chatterjee, MPT Acharya, and Lala Har Dayal were associated with the India House.
