It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the Raptors literally overcame fire to secure their big win.
On Saturday the Toronto Raptors faced the Indiana Pacers, in the play offs of NBA’s regular season.
As the Raptors were slowly turning the match in their favor, advancing towards their big win a little hiccup occurred close to the end of the second quarter when a speaker caught fire which delayed the match for 70 minutes.

The Raptors were off to a great start ending the first quarter with twice as much points as the Pacers. Anunoby and Siakam joined for 22 points in the initial, one more than the Pacers had collectively, and Toronto shut the quarter with a 23-5 spray to lead 41-21.
In the primary quarter, two segments of fans behind the crate at the east finish of the arena were cleared and Toronto Fire Services faculty were seen in the vacant walkways, gazing at the roof. Soon after another section was cleared as the game continued.

”You could smell it,” said the Indiana Pacers acting head coach, Lloyd Pierce. ”When (the game) halted the smell was intense.” Pierce said that he spoke about the acrid smell coming from the speakers to the lead official Zach Zarba.”Fifteen years for me, presumably the most peculiar circumstance that we’ve been in for a game,” Pierce added.
