Rashmika Mandanna hints through an Instagram post about her new venture with Dhanush K Raja in the 51st film of his very successful and consistent career. The film is currently called D51 as it marks his 51st film and is set to be directed by Shekhar Kammula.

Dhanush K Raja, better known as Dhanush is a South Indian film actor who has predominantly done films in the Tamil language since the early 2000s. He is known to be a thorough performer despite his boy next door look. He has done a variety of mainstream very popular films like “Maari” and “Velaiilla Pattadhaari” and has received a lot of fame and is well liked by audience.
Dhanush also started singing a few songs in his films which ended up being superhit songs and appreciated by the target audience. One of his most famous songs which broke world charts is “Why This Kolaveri Di?” which was released in 2011 and garnered so much attention that he started singing at least one song in every film of his. The song “Why This Kolaveri Di?” featured in a psychological thriller and drama film of his called “3” starring Shruti Hassan alongside.
Dhanush’s performing skills were also appreciated in Bollywood when he did films like “Raanjhanaa” by Anand L Rai alongside Sonam Kapoor and “Shamitabh” alongside legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. He recently did another film directed by Anand L Rai featuring Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar called “Atrangi Re”.
He is married to Soundarya Rajinikanth who is Rajinikanth’s daughter in 2004 and has two songs, Linga and Yatra. The highest performing film in his career went on to be “Thiruchitrambalam” with Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja.

Rashmika Mandanna is an Indian film actor. She first starred in “Kirik Party” in which she became an overnight sensation. THe film was directed by Rishabh Shetty who has recently broken records for his performance in the film “Kantara”. She acted opposite Rakshith Shetty in the film and became somewhat of a superstar after the release of the film.
She also fell in love with Rakshith Shetty and got engaged but it unfortunately ended due to reasons unknown. She went on to do superhit films in Telugu with Vijay Devarakonda in “Geetha Govindam” and “Dear Comrade”. She also did a film alongside Siddharth Malhotra in Hindi called “Mission Majnu” which did not quite hit the nail on the head.
She then starred in “Goodbye” starring Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta. She also played the female lead in “Pushpa- The Rise” with Allu Arjun. She has completed shooting for her film “Animal” with Ranbir Kapoor. Her career graph has grown exponentially since her first film and she was previously seen in “Varisu” with Vijay. The film was a hit despite the negative response from the audience.
Announcement of D51
Dhanush and Shekhar Kammula’s team announced D51 late in July after Dhanush’s birthday and it hints at being a period film. Rashmika Mandanna announced her involvement in it yesterday with a video on Instagram where she says that she is very excited to be a part of the film with Dhanush and looks forward to seeing the audience’s response. She captioned the video with Beginning of a new journey.
The film is set to release in theatres this December and the shooting is said to begin soon. Shekar Kammula is a national award winning director so the audience expects quality content in his films.
