A Review on Realme’s New Collection


Realme, a Chinese smartphone maker based in India, recently unveiled a range of new products, including smartphones, tablets, and Bluetooth speakers. And here’s everything there is to know about each of them.

New Realme Pad

The brand introduced its first tablet in India, which will be available for purchase on major platforms such as Flipkart, Realme.com, and other retailers on September 16, 2021, at noon.

The Pad is divided into three ranges based on network compatibility and available storage space. The Wi-Fi-only basic model costs Rs. 13,999, but the brand hasn’t made a formal announcement on when it will be available.

The 3G/32 GB version with Wi-Fi + LTE compatibility costs Rs. 15,999, while the 4G/64 GB version costs Rs. 17,999.

The MediaTek Helio G80 SoC in the new Realme Pad is combined with up to 4GB of RAM. The tablet has up to 64GB of internal storage that can be increased.

The tablet’s 10.4-inch WUXGA+ (2,000*1,200 pixels) display, which has an 82.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio, is one of its most notable features. The Realme Pad is equipped with two 8-megapixel cameras, one on the front and one on the back.

The new Pad also includes four dynamic speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio compatibility.

During video conversations, you’ll also receive two mics for noise cancellation. The tablet comes with a 7,100mAh battery that enables 18W fast charging and reverses charging through an OTG connector.

The Realme Pad is made of aluminium and weighs 440 grammes with a thickness of 6.9mm. The tablet is also powered by Android 11, with the Realme UI for Pad skin on top. The product is available in two colours, namely Real Gold and Real Grey.

Realme Cobble, Pocket Bluetooth Speakers

The Realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker costs Rs 1,799 (Initial Price Rs 1,499), while the Pocket Bluetooth Speaker costs Rs 1,099 (Initial Price Rs 1,499).

(Introductory Price Rs 999). Colours like Metal Black and Electronic Blue are available for the Realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker, while Classic Black and Dessert White are available for the Realme Pocket Bluetooth Speaker.

Flipkart, Realme.com, and offline merchants will begin selling the speakers on September 15 at noon.

Realme 8s 5G

From today, September 13, 2021, at noon, the Realme 8s will be available on Flipkart, Realme.com, and other major outlets. The 6GB/128GB option of the Realme 8s 5G costs Rs 17,999, while the 8GB/128GB variant costs Rs 19,999.

The Realme 8s 5G will be available in two colours: Universal Blue and Purple. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC is combined with up to 8GB of RAM in the Realme 8s 5G.

The phone also has 128GB of storage, with 5GB of that being used as virtual RAM thanks to Realme’s Dynamic RAM Expansion. The Realme 8s has a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging.

It’s powered by Android 11 and comes with the Realme UI on top.

A 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz is featured on the smartphone. The Realme 8s 5G has a 64-megapixel triple-camera system with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro unit for optics.

A 16 MP selfie camera is also included with the phone. 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port, and other choices are available for connectivity.

Realme 8i

The MediaTek Helio G96 SoC in the Realme 8i is combined with up to 6GB of RAM. The phone has a storage capacity of up to 128GB, with 4GB of virtual RAM.

It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen. It’s powered by Android 11 and comes with the Realme UI on top.

The phone has a triple-camera configuration with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro unit for optics. The phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

It also comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging. 4G, Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C connection, and other connectivity choices are available. The new 8i also has a fingerprint reader on the side.

In India, the new Realme 8i is available in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB configurations for Rs 13,999 and Rs15,999, respectively.

Space Black and Space Purple are the two colour options for the new Realme 8i. On September 14, the new product will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Realme.com, and select offline retailers.
