Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district forgoes rescue operations as An Indian Army helicopter crashes today, near Snigging village.
Helicopter crashes down
Indian Army’s Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) crashed near Snigging village in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday, 21st Oct 2022. According to the army sources, it is found that the chopper had a took off from Likabali town on the 21st morning and it had five people including two pilots. It crashed so soon after its take-off and the incident was about 25 km away from the Tuting headquarters of Upper Siang District.
As the area lacks motorable roads, rescue operations are performed by sending helicopters zto the site. Local villagers also help the rescue team. “A rescue team has been rushed to the site through helicopters and we are waiting for the entire reports”, said Mr.Jummar Basar, Superintendent of Police Upper Siang to the reporters.
Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Union Law Minister, has tweeted, “It’s very disturbing news to hear about the crash of Indian Army’s Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) in Arunachal Pradesh. I express my deepest prayers”.
Later in the evening, it’s found that 4 persons have died and still one person is missing.
An Incident that happened earlier
A similar incident took place near Tamang, Arunachal Pradesh earlier this month on 5th, Oct 2022, where two pilots were affected in a chopper “Cheetah”. Among the two pilots one was crucially injured and the other one was found dead.
