The Previous Records of the RPF Officer
According to an official on Thursday, he was involved in a minimum of three discipline-related incidents, including the harassing of a Muslim man in 2017.
According to the source, Singh once dragged a Muslim guy to the RPF post and harassed him without cause while he was a member of the force’s dog squad in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain in 2017, reported NDTV.
Disciplinary measures were taken against him in accordance with the regulations after superiors requested an investigation into the harassment, an official said.

The Tragic Incident
Four individuals, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, were shot dead by a member of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) early on July 31 morning in Maharashtra near the Palghar railway station. He made an effort to flee, but he was shortly arrested.
Inspector General of Western Railway and Principal Chief Security Commissioner P C Sinha disclosed to the media that Constable Chetan Singh was agitated and suffering from mental health issues. He shot his superior before he shot those in front of him. He had just returned from leave, Sinha continued.
The Investigation
New information has come to light during the investigation of the tragic incident on July 31, when RPF Constable Chetan Singh shot and killed four people.
As he inspected the railway cars, Constable Chetan Singh Chaudhary reportedly came across a female passenger who was covered up with a burqa.
He threatened the woman with his gun and made her recite “Jai Mata Di” through a painful ordeal.
In the course of a thorough police inquiry, the incident came to light. It was revealed that security cameras installed inside the railway cabins had recorded the entire incident.
The questioned woman has developed into a crucial witness in the case. The Maharashtra Police’s Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has also questioned the implicated RPF constable, adding another dimension to the investigation.
RPF policeman Jai Prakash Yadav, assigned to Bhayander, claimed in his confession during the investigation that Chetan Singh was seen wandering on the track after getting off the train. He was coming at him holding a weapon. Chetan Singh warned Yadav to get out of his way or he would shoot him when he asked him, “With a rifle, where are you going alone?”
In addition, he asked Yadav to stop following him. Yadav added that Chetan attempted to hide when a local train passed by.
Currently, Chaudhary is being held by authorities. When dismissing Chaudhary, the top railway authorities looking into the incident mainly relied on the court’s view.
