Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky accused russia of “energy terrorism” as they don’t seem to win in front lines.
Russia has carried out large-scale missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian power facilities recently.
Volodymyr Zelensky,Ukrainian president has accused kremlin of “energy terrorism” as Russian russian army made gains on the battlefield.Mr. Zelensky said that after the Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy network,more than 4.5 million people were without power and suffered.
As a result,the Ukrainian government has been forced to ask people of Ukraine to use electricity as low as possible,that is the only way left for them to handle the situation.Russia has attacked the electricity infrastructure in the cities which has made the situation of Ukraine even worse. Electricity infrastructure,which is one of the most necessary functions in every country, has been destroyed in ukraine.
The power stations which were affected were cities aways from the front lines.
On Thursday, president Mr. Zelensky said that about 4.5 million people are disconnected and not able to consume energy.
President of Ukraine said it was a sign of “weakness” as the forces of Russia failed to make a point on the frontline, so they are resorting to energy terrorism.Moreover, he is saying that as russia can not beat ukraine on the battlefield, they are trying affect them in this way.
Later, Russia’s ministry of defence confirmed the attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
Signalling a major retreat to Russia, Russian troops left the occupied city of kherson.
Kirill Stremousov, Russia installed official in the kherson area confirmed it.
As per the reports,most of the Russian officers have withdrawn from the city.
Russia is now preparing defencive positions and on the other side, Ukraine is now preparing to deal with winter as their energy infrastructure has been destroyed.
