The science fiction action-comedy movie “Free Guy” star Ryan Reynolds shared a special message with his Indian fans. A few days ago, the actor stated that Hollywood is mimicking Bollywood and has no shame admitting it. Ryan’s this statement has received a reaction from Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. Â
Free Guy is released in India on Friday, September 17, 2021. The movie star, Ryan Reynolds, released a special message for Indian fans claiming that Hollywood has no shame admitting that it mimics Bollywood.
Ryan Reynolds starring Free Guy, was released in the US on August 13 and broke all records. The movie directed by Shawn Levy is a science fiction action-comedy movie.
However, Indian actress Kangana Ranaut has expressed concerns over Hollywood overshadowing Bollywood. The actress is concerned about Hollywood movies getting more screens in India than Indian films.  Â
Ryan Reynolds’ Message Â

Some More Hollywood Movies Inspired by Bollywood Â
Everyone knows how Bollywood copies Hollywood movies. But do you know that Hollywood has also copied Bollywood movies? A few Hollywood movies heavily inspired by Bollywood movies are:Â Â
Pearl Harbour Â
The love drama released in 2001 is horridly inspired by the 1964 Indian Classic Film’ Sangam’. The movie portrays a love triangle rather than the actual Pearl Harbour incident. Â
Leap Year Â
Leap Year has too many plots and scenes similar to the 2007 Indian movie “Jab We Met”. Like Jab We Met, the movie is about a talkative, silly girl determined to get her boyfriend. The girl takes help from a down-on-his-luck man, and later, they fall in love. However, the makers of Leap Year rubbished the claims of the movie being a remake of an Indian film. Â
A Common Man Â
The 2013 thriller movie featuring Oscar Award Winner Ben Kingsley and Ben Cross is an official remake of the 2008 Indian thriller “A Wednesday”.
A Common Man, directed by Sri Lankan filmmaker Chandran Rutnam has won several awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor awards at the Madrid International Film Festival. A Common Man had also won a bronze medal at the New York Festivals’ International Television and Film Awards. Â
Other Hollywood movies inspired by Bollywood movies are Delivery Man, Divorce Invitation, Just Go With It, and many more. Â
Kangana Ranaut’s Reaction
Bollywood’s ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut reacts to Ryan Reynolds’ statement over Hollywood, mimicking Bollywood. The Rangoon actress took to her Instagram account and wrote,” Hollywood is trying to steal our theatre screens as well”.
The actress expressed her concerns over the matter while promoting her upcoming movie Thalaivii at a press conference. The actress stated,” We need to behave as a nation and stop dividing ourselves as North India and South India. We need to discourage American and English films as they are overshadowing our movies.
The need is to enjoy our films”. Kangana further added,” Hollywood has destroyed French, Italian and German industries with monopoly. They are doing it here in India also. Indians will not work in their own favour. They would rather see dubbed versions of ‘Lion Book’ or ‘Jungle Book’, but would never give a dubbed version of Malayalam film a chance”. Â
Hollywood might have indirectly mimicked Bollywood many times, but Reynolds’ message has let this secret out and created a buzz.
The video message has generated curiosity among Indian fans, and they are watching the movie to search for the parts influenced by Bollywood. However, Kangana’s reaction has cleared that the only way to make an Atmanirbhar Bharat is by keeping our people and our nation at priority.Â
