Who Is Sabyasachi Mukherjee?
Sabyasachi Mukherjee is an Indian fashion designer who started his label in 1999. He was born on January 23rd, 1974 to a middle-class Bengali family in Kolkata. Even after struggling for many years with finances, he still managed to complete his studies in fashion design at one of the most prestigious fashion schools, NIFT. He won many awards during his college studies, and after completing his studies, he decided to open his brand label called Sabyasachi.

Sabyasachi uses his style in his designs, and he said that he takes a lot of inspiration from Indian culture. He has even used Kolkata’s scenic backdrops and imprints; he uses unique floral prints on his lehenga and sherwani. Sabyasachi is not only famous in India, but brides from all over the world are fond of his lehengas, whether it is the US, UK, or even Pakistan. Sabyasachi has his way of thinking. While no one can think of using four different shades on four different sections of sari, when you look at the final product, you will be amazed at how differently he can turn things.
Starbucks x Sabyasachi
So recently, Sabyasachi collaborated with Starbucks and it was released on the 12th of April. It included ceramic cups and steel tumblers. They all had signature Toile de Jouy flora and fauna art prints from his Art Foundation. Besides this, Sabyasachi has also designed uniforms for the Rajkumari Ratnawati School in Jaisalmer. This collaboration was a part of a
n NGO called “Educate Girls” as well, which supports the education of 3000 girls. For this special collaboration, for the first time, they will change their call-out for their customers. They won’t say the buyer’s name, but a thank you from the girl who was helped by the sale of these products.
Sabyasachi’s New Collection 2022
Yesterday, Sabyasachi launched his new collection. The portraits for this whole collection were shot at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. In this new collection, he has used handcrafted Zardozi raw silk along with uncut diamonds and pearl jewelry. He also said that “The magic of Udaipur is in the light, the air, the colors, and those impossible shades of ivory, layer upon layer upon layer… The feelings are indescribable. It is so precious and jeweled, and yet so calm and serene. ” We can see how much Udaipur has affected him in every sense.
The designer Sabyasachi has become a huge success in the wedding world. Brides want to wear a Sabyasachi lehenga at their wedding. It has become a ritual now to get married in a Sabyasachi lehenga. Last year, it collaborated with H & M and made some amazing ethnic and western pieces for men and women, but the collection was sold out immediately and many people were disappointed that they couldn’t get their hands on such an amazing collection.
