TMC national spokesperson Saket Gokhale was arrested by Gujarat police
Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien (TMC) in a series of tweets has shared all the details related to how the arrest took place.
On December 6, Trinamool Congress claimed that their National spokesperson has been arrested and it is a political vendetta.
TMC MP Derek O’Brien wrote in his tweets that on Monday, Saket had taken a flight at 9 pm from Delhi to Jaipur and as he landed in Rajasthan he claimed that Gujarat Police were there to arrest him.
He further added that Saket Gokhale called his mother at 2 in the morning and informed her that he has been taken to Ahmedabad and they will be reaching there by afternoon. He was allowed to make a two-minute call and later his phone and other belongings were confiscated.
He also said that a ‘cooked-up case’ was filed at Ahmedabad cyber cell regarding Saket’s Gokhale Morbi bridge collapse and all this cannot silence TMC.
TMC’s National Spokesperson Saket Gokhale was caught spreading fake news by PIB. PIB said that there was no such response as he claimed to any RTI query.
In a tweet, he wrote that RTI revealed PM Modi’s visit to Morbi cost Rs.30 crore for a few hours and shared snippets of news clippings from a Gujarati Newspaper. Gokhale claimed that out of Rs. 30. crores, “Rs. 5.5 crore was purely for “welcome, event management, and photography.”
