Ansari often uses the historic and popular roads and mountains of Lucknow city as a backdrop for his videos.
He was taken into custody by the police department late on Sunday night and was sent to jail by police for smoking in a public place. Azam Ansari was making a short Instagram reel in front of the historic clock tower when a huge crowd gathered around to see the internet sensation in action.
This resulted in a massive traffic jam that alerted the police to go on-site and check for reasons, as many complaints were filed due to his presence resulting in inconvenience for the people who had businesses or lived in the area. The report says he was caught smoking in a public place as well.
He was on various occasions warned by police as he creates chaos in public places and amid traffic that makes people irritated with him and results in them calling the police for his actions.
He was charged under section 151 for breaching the peace, he was also seen creating nuisance on the streets of Lucknow, walking in the middle of a busy street wearing a black dhoti and a scarf. Adding all these incidents the police could not stay silent and took the actions that were required to maintain peace in the city.
