Ever since the news of the film Sam Bahadur was out fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of the movie. Directed by award-winning writer and filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, Vicky Kaushal will be starring as Sam Bahadur. The movie also features Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. The film’s leading man Vicky Kaushal often shared pictures and videos from the sets taken during shooting. It was only yesterday that the actor landed back in Mumbai after wrapping up a schedule of the movie in Kolkata and today he took to his Instagram handle to post the first look of Sam Bahadur also announcing the release date of the film.
Introducing Sam Bahadur
The highly awaited Meghna Gulzar Directorial “Sam Bahadur” is produced by Ronnie Srewvala. The biopic features Vicky Kaushal portraying the titular role of Sam Manekshaw. while Sanya Malhotra will play the role of Manekshaw’s wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Sheikh will be seen as the former Prime Minister of India: Indira Gandhi. The filmmakers dropped the first look of the movie today, revealing the date exactly one year before its release next year- igniting the excitement for a long-awaited film among the audience.
The teaser reveals Vicky Kaushal as Sam Bahadur is dressed in the Indian Army’s Uniform and walking amidst a battalion of Army officers, who make way for him. The upcoming movie has been quite the talk of the town with Vicky Kaushal’s uncanny resemblance to the authentic portrayal of Sam since the time it was announced and now, with the filmmakers dropping its teaser, it is bound to create much more frenzy among the fans.

The Brave-Hearted Marshal: Sam Manekshaw
Sam Manekshaw (3 April 1914 – 27 June 2008) also known as Sam Bahadur was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971, and he was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. Sam Manekshaw’s service in the Indian Army spanned over four decades and five wars. Manekshaw’s military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war paved the way for the creation of the Country Bangladesh. The thrilling Biopic is directed by Meghna Gulzar, starring Vicky Kushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Sheikh, and backed by Ronnie Srewvala. ‘Sam Bahadur’ will be released in theatres on December 1, 2024.

On the work front, apart from headlining Meghna Gulzar’s Biopic- Sam Bahadur, Vicky Kaushal has a compelling lining up of Films. The actor will be seen in Shashank Khaitan and Karan Johar’s Govinda Naam Mera costarring Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani which is slated for its OTT release on December 16. Also, Vicky will be seen sharing screen space alongside Sara Ali Khan in Laxman Utekar’s yet-to-be-titled film. Vicky Kaushal will also be featured in Anand Tiwari’s untitled project with Ammy Virk and Tripti Dimri in the lead.
