West Bengal minister of education Partha Chatterjee trapped in school job scams has returned to Kolkata after doctors in AIIMS Bhubaneswar have said that he was healthy.
He was taken to AIIMS Bhubaneshwar by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the orders of the Calcutta High Court. The duo of Partha Chaterjee and his close aide Arpita Mukherjee were sent to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). It was because of their alleged involvement in a scam.Â

They are said to be involved in the School Services Commission (SSC) scam in West Bengal. He as well as his aide were arrested last Saturday.Â
 The doctors have reported that Partha’s health is quite stable. A thorough examination of the body was done. Various tests were performed and the results are fine. He has some minor problems but doesn’t need an admission into the hospital.Â
He has some chronic illness but His health is continuously and closely being monitored.Â
Moreover, The minister took a flight from Bhubaneswar at 5: 20 a.m. in the early morning and reached Kolkata airport by 6: 34 a.m.
On July 23, the Enforcement Directorate under an investigation, uncovered around Rs. 20 crores in cash from the house of an associate of Chatterjee. The Enforcement Directorate reported that the amount is suspected to be the proceeds of the above mentioned scam.Â
Partha Chaterjee is currently under custody in the Central Government Office (CGO) complex.Â
The custody was ordered for him till August 3.Â
He tried to call West Bengal’s chief minister Mamta Banarjee thrice after the arrest but on the fourth call his number was blocked. ED has continually grilled both of them for information. Among the two, Arpita, his close aide, was more helpful and obliging.Â
Three flats in the Diamond city of Bengal have been linked to Partha Chaterjee. As the ED begins digging in for more information, more resources will be unearthed. People of the state are urging the state government to bring an end to corruption and further look into the probe.Â
