On Thursday, the filmmaker Karan Johar made an announcement of the debut of Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, with the film “Bedhadhak”. It is a home production film which is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film also introduces two other new faces into the industry- Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada. This announcement was made on Twitter by the Dharma Productions’ handle. The tweet said that Dharma Productions continues to grow and the audience can expect Shanaya’s debut film Bedhadak to make way to their hearts. It also mentioned the name of the director of the movie.
In Bedhadak, we will be seeing Lakshya Lalwani as Karan, Gurfateh Pirzada as Angad and Shanaya Kapoor as Nimrit. The story revolves around the lives of Karan, Angad and Nimrit and explores their love lives which would bring both joy and tears to our faces. The film is set to be released in 2022 itself.
Previously, Karan Johar has launched a row of fresh faces mostly including star kids along with a few newcomers. He has launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor and many more. Shashank Khaitan had launched Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in his film “Dhadak” via Mentor Disciple Films. In another tweet that followed the above mentioned, Lakshya Lalwani was introduced. Lakshya is a part of another home production film of Karan Johar- “Dostana 2”, along with Janhvi Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjee. The tweet introduced Lalwani as dashing and charming and as he steps into the industry, he is about to rock everyone’s life. Meanwhile, Gurfateh Pirzada was seen in another Karan Johar production, “Guilty” which was a Netflix original. The tweet that introduced Pirzada claimed that his brooding vibe is going to make the audience’s heart skip a beat. On Wednesday, 3 March 2022, Karan Johar said that he is soon going to introduce the three new members into the Dharma family.
