On 17th August, the little 10-year-old Sara Sharif was found dead in Woking, Surrey. Her father called 999 on Sunday, informing them about her death. Sara’s biological mother, Olga Sharif, could not recognise her little daughter when she reached the mortuary. She recalled that her cheeks were swollen and the other side bruised. Olga and Sharif had met each other while working at Burger King. They got married in 2009 and they have a 13-year-old son. The couple separated in 2015, the court permitted the children to live with their father. A day before Sara’s dead body was discovered, Sharif, a taxi driver, along with his second wife Benaish Batool, five other children and his brother Faisal Malik, took a flight to Pakistan.
Sara left primary school as her stepmother decided to give her homeschooling. A parent said she saw cuts and bruises on Sara’s face before the Easter holidays were about to begin. When her daughter questioned Sarah, she replied she had fallen from the bike. Sara aspired to be a model, but lately, she wore the hijab.
The Police of Pakistan and their reports
After the incident, there has been an international man-hunt to track down Sharif and his family. Police in Pakistan are under severe pressure from the British authorities to find the family. The police have raided many properties in search of their family in Pakistan. Omar Sharif’s father, Muhammed Sharif, told the media he had no idea about his son’s whereabouts. He has requested Omar to hand himself over to the police. He said that the police were harassing their family. They are abandoned by their relatives and confined to their homes.

Sara’s uncle told the family that she had fallen from the stairs and broken her neck. On 6th September, her stepmother released a video statement, stating that Sara’s death was an accident. She added that they had left for Pakistan as there was no food at home. The family had decided to go into hiding for some days. The couple is willing to cooperate with the Authorities and fight for their case.

The five children of Omar Sharif and Beniash Batool were found and recovered by the police on Monday from Urfan Sharif’s house in Jhelum. Interpol issued yellow notices for them. These yellow notices help to locate missing persons, especially minors. The children were presented in the court on Tuesday. The children will shift to the Child Protection Bureau in Rawalpindi. The children had been living with their grandfather in Pakistan since their arrival. Farzana Mullick, their aunt, showed her disapproval of the decision for the children. She said that the children were crying when the police dragged them.The superintendent, Mark Chapman from the Surrey Police, stated they were tirelessly searching for Omar Sharif, his wife and brother. He added that they are coordinating with the National Crime agencies and other official bodies for a thorough investigation.
