On Saturday June 4 2022, Sidhu Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, and mother, Charan Kaur, visited Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Chandigarh Technical Airport on Saturday and allegedly requested a CBI investigation into their son’s death.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also met  Moosewala’s family members at his native town of Moosa in Punjab’s Mansa district.
Soon after Amit Shah arrived in Chandigarh, he visited with Moosewala’s parents and promised them of justice. It was unclear whether he agreed to the CBI investigation.
Amit Shah arrived at the BJP headquarters in Chandigarh’s Sector 37 after the 15-20-minute meeting.
There are numerous former Congress ministers and former Akali leaders were due to formally join the party.
Meanwhile, authorities in Punjab and Haryana conducted searches for members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who may have been a part of Moosewala’s murder.
On Friday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann pledged to catch the killers as quickly as possible.
He informed the enraged family during a visit to their original home in Mansa province,
“Police have critical information about the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, and the day is not far when we will apprehend the perpetrators of this horrific act”
The Chief Minister described Moosewala as a multi-talented performer with a captivating voice and originality.
On May 29, less than 24 hours after the government reduced his protection. Moosewala was shot dead in broad daylight by thugs near his home village.
Moosewala was shot at while driving his SUV in hamlet Jhawahar Ke in Mansa district with two others. According to police, Mansa Civil Hospital declared him dead.
