New Delhi: Yesterday (24 July), Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani responded to the Congress’ claims against her daughter. Calling a news conference, she clarified that these accusations are “baseless.” She said that her 18-year-old daughter is not operating any illegal restaurant in Goa. Further, she mentioned that Zoish Irani is a first-year college student and incapable of operating an “illegal bar.” Ā
Speaking to media persons, she exhibited the copies that had been sent to her restaurant. She lashed at congress leaders for openly denigrating her daughter’s character. Irani stated that Congress spokesman Pawan Khera had provided her a copy of the show cause notice . SheĀ revealed that she is willing a clarification from Congress leaders in court claiming the notice did not include Zoish’ name.Ā

Ms. Irani also challenged Rahul Gandhi to run for the Amethi Lok Sabha seat once again in 2024 Election. She vowed that he would lose once again.Ā
The attorney for Smriti Irani’s daughter, Kirat Nagra, has also issued a statement denying that his client is any way owner or operator of the place known as Silly Souls Restaurant. And contrary to allegations, she has never been sent with a show-cause notice by any entity.Ā

As per sources, Smriti Irani’s daughter, Zoish Irani runs a restaurant located in Assagao of North Goa. operated by Union minister Smriti Irani’s daughter, Zoish Irani. Recently it made news after uncovering of the name Anthony Dgama on its renewed liquor license who is long-deceased. Rodrigues obtained the records via an RTI application. Ā
Attorney Aires Rodrigues had filed a complaint claiming that Irani’s daughter had submitted dishonest and false papers to get the liquor license for her Restaurant. He has demanded aĀ full probe into this massive scam engineered by the Union minister’s family in concert along with excise authorities and the local administration of Assagao. Ā
Shortly then, Goa’s excise commissioner, Mr. Narayan M. Gad, issued a show cause notice to Zoish Irani’s Silly Souls Cafe and Bar on July 21. The date of the hearing in this case has been set for July 29.Ā
What is the Stance of Congress Leaders Against Smriti Irani
Congress Leaders alleged yesterday that Smriti Irani’s daughter extended her previously existing restaurant’s liquor license. And as per their allegations, she fraudulently reinstated the license by disguising it in the name of a guy who passed away one year back.Ā
On June 22 of this year, the license was illegitimately renewed. Congress leaders made these allegations based on the show cause notice toĀ the aforementioned restaurant, Silly Souls, is Zoish Irani. Additionally, a restaurant establishment in Goa State is only permitted to possess one bar license. While there are allegations that Irani’s family restaurant has obtained two licenses. Ā
The Congress further demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must fire Smriti Irani over what they described as a “very severe matter.” On the other hand, the attorney defending minister’s daughter had cleared that she neither owned nor operated a restaurant.
Shortly after Ms. Irani’s press conference, Mr. Rodrigues stated that here is sufficient evidence for his remarks. Further, he added, everybody in Goa knows that this upscale “Silly Souls Cafe and Bar” is maintained and operated by Smriti Irani’s family living in Bhouta Vaddo in Goa.Ā
