In a recent interview, Tom Holland—who is dating Zendaya—also said he felt “dependent” on drinking.
Tom Holland, the star of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” doesn’t want to work for the entertainment industry. In an interview with the “Jay Shetty Podcast,” the actor discussed how difficult it was for him to work in the industry and still feel like himself.
Holland expressed that he is a huge fan of making movies but admitted that Hollywood is not his cup of tea.
Holland acknowledged that he finds the business side of the film industry to be quite scary. Even though he is aware of his engagement with the company and values some of the relationships there, he is continually looking for ways to cut ties with it in order to live a more regular life.
He continued by saying that he is constantly concerned with protecting his genuine identity. He has seen the tragic loss of friends who gave in to the pressures of the profession, having seen many people before him lose themselves in it.
He emphasizes his strong resolve to put his personal pleasure first, which is centered on his family, friends, carpentry, golf, and the nonprofit organization his mother runs. He feels it is crucial to protect these areas of his life since they truly bring him joy.

Tom’s relationship with Zendaya
Although his relationship with “Spider-Man” co-star Zendaya has also drawn attention, Holland claims that they both value their privacy and that he kept any information about their relationship to himself throughout the interview.
He added that he values his relationship above everything else and that he likes to keep it very quiet. To the best of his ability, he works to protect its confidentiality. He and his partner are both adamant that maintaining their relationship in private is the best course for them as a pair.
Recent life changes
The actor says he has made other adjustments in his life, such as giving up alcohol, and that he has been sober for nearly a year and a half.
The singer from London later admitted during the interview that he had a drinking problem but that after quitting, his life had improved.
In his reflections, he noted that situations where things went wrong on set, which ordinarily disturbed him, became simpler to handle.
He emphasized the improved mental clarity he had and talked about feeling more healthy and fit. He asked himself why he was so fixated and trapped by the thought of drinking.
Holland also made the decision to significantly reduce his use of social media.
He remembered his earlier troubles and admitted that his alcoholism had made him into a problem. He also acknowledged being excessively worried about what other people thought of him and how they viewed him.
Due to the negative effects social media was having on his psychological well-being, he decided to declare a sabbatical from it. He was of the opinion that staying away from the internet would ultimately be to his benefit.
