The High Court of Karnataka will continue hearing the petitions on the hijab case. The petitioners proclaim that they should wear headscarves in colours the same as their school uniform. Paradoxically the Kendriya Vidhyalayas, which Centre agrees on the same.Ā
Previously on Friday, the HC issued an interim order asking students not to wear any religious dress in educational institutions with described uniforms.Ā Ā
Whereas on Monday, when high school classes resumed after a five-day break. According to the reports said, in several institutions, students were asked to remove their headscarves to attend classes. Even in Mandya at the Rotary Educational Society School, students, as well as teachers and staff members, were seen removing their hijabs to enter the school premises.Ā
As per the safety measure, in Udupi and Mangaluru, prohibitory orders have been issued near campuses for six days till Saturday. From Monday till February 19, CrPC section 144 has been attached around the 200-meter radius of all the high schools.Ā Ā
