Race towards ₹500 Crore Club
Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 has recently entered ₹400 crore club racing towards 500 crore in its box office collection.

Since the inception of its release, it’s performed excellently at the box office surprising trade analysts and reviewers.
On its 12th day, the sequel film earned 12.10 crore bringing its net collection to ₹400.7 crore according to sacnilk.com
Box Office Collections so far
According to Hindustan Times quoting sacnilk.com, the 1st-week collection totaled around ₹284.63 crores.
The second Tuesday saw a dip in its net collections of -10.37%. By the second Friday and Saturday the film earned 20.5 crores, and 31.07 crores respectively also witnessing an increase in the net collection of the second Sunday at around ₹ 38.9 crores again dipping on the second Monday collecting 13.5 crores.

Other Film’s Performance at the Box Office
This August, Rajinikanth starrer Jailer, Akshay Kumar film OMG-2 has released in theater, the latter releasing on the same date as Gadar 2 on 11th August while the former was released one day before the release of OMG-2 and Gadar-2 on 10th of August.
The net India collection of OMG-2 stands at ₹120.62 crore with Jailer racing ahead of OMG-2 standing at net collection of 292.03 crore. In comparison to both the films, Gadar-2 beats both the films at net India collection totaling 400.7 crores despite OMG-2 entering the 100 crore club

Will it beat Shahrukh Khan starrer Pathan?
According to trade analyst Sumit Kadel, Gadar-3 earned ₹375 crore in India on its 10th day. Which is more than Pathan’s domestic 10-day net of ₹364 crore. But according to trade analysts experts, Gadar-2 won’t be able to reach its worldwide collections where Pathan wins the race standing at ₹1050 crore while Gadar’s worldwide earnings are ₹490 crore. According to Sumit Kadel, it is estimated to earn ₹650-₹700 crore.
Pathan was about the story of a spy who along with Deepika Padukone goes to save India from rogue spy John Abraham’s clutches.
Story of Gadar
Directed by Anil Sharma and starring Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol, it’s a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar-1 where protagonist Tara Singh enters Pakistan to save his son Jeete, the role helmed by Utkarsh Sharma in the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
