Russia deploys Syrian soldiers to carry out the Ukraine invasion and war
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) observed the enlistment of Syrians fight alongside Russia.
A UK based activist group reported on Tuesday, 15th March 2022 that over 40,000 enlisters were registered against Ukraine.
The Russian-Ukraine war observed international involvement ever since it started. Russia moved strategically towards their invasion in Ukraine.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the Syrian war (SOHR).
Russian forces were deployed in Syria back in 2015. In 2022, the Russian Federation recruited the support of Syria. As Syrians fight alongside Russia.
The recruitment took place through centre set up for war enlistment.
The SOHR confirmed the information as well. Over 40,000 volunteers had enlisted themselves.
There were many reasons for their highly voluntary involvement. One of the many was the matter of finance.
The Russian Federation offered to pay a high amount of salary to the enlisters.
The remuneration decided upon was set to be $1,100. This was comparatively higher than $15 – $35 which was the standard salary in Syria.
The recruitment process took place with the supervision of Russian officials. They were part of the deployment in Moscow in 2015 for the Syrian war. Up until now, 22,000 volunteers had been approved.
The enlisters came from varied backgrounds. Some of them were part of pro-government militia groups. On the other hand, some were also from units of the regular army.
However,
the claimed recruitment process was denied by a Syrian representative of the Government.
The observatory also said that it had not witnessed any transfers to Ukraine yet.
Furthermore, many sources also claimed that an amount of $3,000 was also offered to the enlisters.
The remuneration depended on the skill and expertise of the soldier.
The quotations of salaries are a huge spotlight that is assumed to have drawn the voluntary enlisters.
