The final list of the TATA IPL 2024 auction was blazed by the IPL, on Tuesday 13th December 2022 and a total of 405 players will go for auction, The auction is all set to be scheduled at Kochi, on 23rd December 2022 at 2:30 pm I.S.T.
Out of the initial 991 players from the 10 teams, a total of 369 were shortlisted, but 36 additional players were added to the list under the request made by the teams, making it a final list of 405 players who will go “Under the Hammer.” A total of 10 teams will participate in the IPL 2024.
Details of Players “Under the Hammer”
Out of the total 405 players selected for auction, 273 Players are Indian followed by 132 overseas players and 4 from associated nations. The total number of Capped Players is 119 followed by 282 Uncapped players and 4 from the associate nation.
IPL Stated that “A maximum of 87 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players”.
Price of the Auction
The highest price reserved for the 19 overseas players is INR, 2 crores who are chosen for the slot of the high bracket, The base price of INR 1.5 Crore is for the 11 players who are on the auction list. Two Indian players, Manish Pandey, and Mayank Agarwal are on the list of 20 Cricketers with the highest base price of INR 1 crore for the IPL 2024 auction.
The Remaining auction pool for the franchise will be INR 206 Crores.
There are 19 players in the list of highest base price category INR 2 crore brackets there are no Indian players under this category.
11 players in the 1.5 Crore bracket.
20 in the INR 1 Crore bracket out of which two are Indian Players.
9 in the 75 lakhs bracket.

Team Sunrisers Hyderabad has the largest sum of Rs 42.25 Crore with 13 slots whereas, Team Kolkata Knight Riders have the smallest of Rs 7.5 Crore remaining with 11 slots. Apart from the 90 Crore salary cap for the auction, each team will be having an additional Rs 5 crore.
Mumbai Indians announced a crucial decision on Tuesday stating “Kieron Pollard Retired from the IPL”, Kieron Pollard (former, West Indies Captain) who was in the Mumbai Indians team for 12 years with the success of lifting the IPL cup 5 times has now been decided upon as the batting coach for the team in 2024 IPL.
The TATA IPL will be the 16th season of the IPL Series and is anticipated to begin in April 2024.
