K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the Chief Minister of Telangana, attacked the BJP on Sunday, accusing the party of utilizing religious and military themes to win state elections.
KCR claimed that surgical strikes in Pakistan in response to the Uri assault in 2016 should be credited to the Army, not the BJP.Â
He demanded documentation from the central government over surgical strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in September 2019. Rao remarked,
“Even today, I am asking for the proof. Let the government of India show (the proof). The BJP makes false propaganda; that is why people are asking for it.” Â
In a retort to KCR, Sarma sneered at Rao, claiming that it demonstrated their attitude. Sarma said,
“I believe that questioning the Army whether they have carried out the surgical strike or not is the biggest crime. He (Telangana CM KCR) got agitated by my comment on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi but not by Rahul Gandhi’s comment on our Army,”
