One of the nine people killed in a shooting event in Texas, the US, was a 27-year-old woman from Hyderabad. The victim, Aishwarya Thatikonda, was a project manager employed in the US.
The victim, a 27-year-old technician who is the daughter of a judge, was working in Dallas Texas; her roommate was also hurt but is now reportedly not in danger after having two bullets removed from his body. Her male Indian friend was hurt as well, and he was being treated at McKinney Medical.
The 27-year-old was reportedly shopping at the Allen Premium Outlet in the north suburbs of Dallas with a friend when a shooter started the fire. The attacker, later identified as Mauricio Garcia, was eventually shot and killed by a police officer.

According to reports, Aishwarya was among those slain when Mauricio Garcia, the suspect, opened fire on a crowd at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Texas while brandishing a gun. On video taken at the scene, hundreds of patrons could be seen leaving the area, many of them with their hands raised. At least three corpses covered in sheets were visible in the helicopter footage outside the mall.
Aishwarya was reportedly shopping at the mall with a friend and her roommate, Sreyas Reddy, according to her friend Sai Vikas. “Sreyas, Aishwarya, and I have been close friends since elementary school. My pals informed me that Sreyas had been shot but was now safe after having two bullets extracted from his body, according to Vikas. He is one of the seven patients receiving medical care at the hospital, three of whom are reportedly in severe condition.
Last week’s shooting occurred on a Saturday, as the outdoor mall was packed with shoppers. A police officer shot and killed the 33-year-old gunman, Mauricio Garcia. According to the judge’s companion, Aishwarya had talked to the family members before what happened on Saturday. When they phoned her again after hearing about the shooting, they did not receive a response.
“The news of her death reached the family on Sunday. They are startled. They were informed that attempts were underway to send her remains abroad by Wednesday, according to a friend of the judge, PTI reported.

Aishwarya Thatikonda, an engineer living in Dallas, Texas, was an inhabitant of Saroornagar in Hyderabad and the daughter of a judge in Ranga Reddy district court. Her friend in Hyderabad tweeted about it, and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao’s office promised to help bring the body back.
Aishwarya Thatikonda earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Osmania University before going to Eastern Michigan University to earn her master’s degree in construction management. According to the Texas-based WFAA television station, Thatikonda, 27, was employed and resided in McKinney, Texas, while her family was in India.
Thatikonda was employed in Dallas for more than two years, according to her LinkedIn profile. The Allen Premium Outlets released a statement, “We were shocked by the terrible death at Allen Premium Outlets and disgusted by the acts of violence that keep this country suffering from.” We are praying for the victims, their families, and everybody else affected by this heinous act. We appreciate the heroic acts of the Allen police officer and the assistance of all first responders.
