On one hand, the Modi-Yogi factor is working, and on the other hand, the Samajwadi-alliance is working. Who will win the elections as the seventh phase is about to end?Â
As the election campaign was about to end in UP’s Gorakhpur urban, Yogi Adityanath’s roadshows were about to begin there from Town Hall in the heart of the city. The incumbent Chief Minister is still showing his caring nature towards the state and how it has been during the whole time, of course.
While the appeals made by Akhilesh are sensed and tracked by BSP’s leader Mayawati, Yogi Sarkar is more focused on the overall development of the state as well as the party that is in the state. Coming back to the campaigning of Adityanath, there the arrangements were made according to the theme of Hindutva.
As he was about to arrive, the saffron balloons were blooming in the city under the hot sun, and a statement flew over a mile and asked, “Yogi and Modi must return to power if Hinduism has to be saved.”Â
The strength of the Bharatiya Janata Party has turned out to be outnumbered by the Samajwadi Party. With the support of the BJP Yuva Morcha, who is campaigning hard for the party, and with the backing of the Mahila Morcha, the Bharatiya Janata Party is being seen creating a monopoly in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The spectators who came to visit the roadshow were in a huge number. People from different regions visited Gorakhpur just to get a glimpse of Yogi Adityanath in the roadshow. Â
According to the locals, the incumbent CM did not need to speak for any kind of work or he did not prepare any speech to deliver in public. The mere presence of him was more than enough for the people who came for the roadshow. The person also added that the number of people who arrived at the roadshow was itself a compliment to Yogi Adityanath and how popular he is among the public. He said, “Yogi did not make a speech; he didn’t need to. The spectacle was a message. The loudspeakers in the area chanted, “It will be Yogi, who will return to power.” While supporters wore saffron T-shirts to show their support for Yogi Adityanath and the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Mahila Morcha also promoted the rally on all of their social media accounts.Â
What we can get from the UP-assembly electionsÂ
This time, the elections in the various states were largely indifferent, but they were massive in scale when compared to the early 2017 UP assembly elections. The Modi-Yogi alliance and its effects were felt throughout Uttar Pradesh during all seven phases of the elections.
The Yogi-Modi or Modi-Yogi gesture was used as a symbol and to harness the schemes of the people who believed in the Bhartiya Janata Party. Combining all these factors together and making them, the people and party predicted that it was almost impossible to defeat the BJP in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In contrast, after Adityanath’s roadshow in Gorakhpur, SP president Akhilesh Yadav also shared a stage with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee in the city of Varanasi.
As the interaction was held with the people of Varanasi, Didi’s awkward Hindi amused the public, while Yadav and his supporters watched the CM of West Bengal in awe.Â
She, in a very aggressive manner, outspoke that the current government and the party are all “anti-Romeo squad”, hinting at the love jihad issue that caused a mishap in the state during that period. Her grief towards the workers who were abandoned during the pandemic by the BJP was awakened.
While she also raised the topic of stranded students who are stuck in Ukraine amidst war, her gesture towards the BJP was clearly rejecting all the ideologies.
In spite of the efforts that were put in place by the Bhartiya Janata Party and its alliance, the Samajwadi-led alliance is conquering the seats and the constituencies that are being evident in these elections. Signs of consolidation are in favor of the Samajwadi Party and its alliance.
Some sources may vary as they may say Modi has voted and some say the SP-led alliance has voted. Well, it is always recommended not to pay any kind of attention to these sources as the real-time information is only available with the Election Commission of India. Thus, always rely on factual information.Â
As of now, the results of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections will be declared on March 10, 2022.
