The government of Chhattisgarh is renaming Three Villages: Bhupesh Baghel Chief Minister.

Date:

The government of Chhattisgarh has made the decision to change the names of three villages, including Chandkhuri, Giroudpuri, and Sonakhan. These villages are significant both historically and spiritually.

The Chhattisgarh government has decided to rename three historical and spiritually significant villages in the state, and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has issued instructions to carry out the change as soon as possible.

In order to respect the feelings of the local populace, CM Baghel has given the go-ahead for the renaming of Giroudpuri and Sonakhan in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, as well as Chandkhuri village in the Raipur district.

The popular Satnam Panth pilgrimage site of Giroudpuri will now be known as Baba Guru Ghasidas Dham Giroudpuri, while Chandkhuri, thought to be the birthplace of Lord Ram’s mother Kaushalya, will now be known as Mata Kaushalya Dham Chandkhuri.

Sonakhan, named after a freedom fighter, will now be known as Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Dham Sonakhan.

Concerning these villages

Speaking of Chandkhuri, it will now be known as Mata Kaushalya Dham Chandkhuri because it is thought to be the birthplace of Lord Ram’s mother, Kaushalya.

The official continued, “The temple of Mata Kaushalya, situated in the middle of a pond in Chandkhuri, has already been renovated and beautified by the Congress government through its ambitious “Ram Van Gaman Path” tourism circuit project.”

According to myth, Lord Ram travelled along the Ram Van Gaman Path on his way to his 14-year exile, and it is also thought that he spent the majority of that time in Chhattisgarh.

The following village, Giroudpuri, which is a well-known Satnam Panth pilgrimage site, will now be known as Baba Guru Ghasidas Dham Giroudpuri. Baba Guru Ghasidas, a Satnam saint and social reformer, was born there.

Last but not least, Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Dham Sonakhan will now be called Sonakhan in honour of the freedom fighter who made a significant contribution to the 1857 uprising.

The area is renowned for Shaheed Veer. On December 10, 1857, the British government had Singh hanged at Raipur’s Jaistambh Chowk.

Narayan Singh’s bravery, who became the first martyr of Chhattisgarh during the 1857 uprising.
