- The government of Karnataka has declared 3 days of holiday from Wednesday. The High court of Karnataka will listen to the petition filed by the students.

- The subject of Hijab Controversy came into the limelight at the beginning of the year. When six students of Government PU College for girls in Udupi were not permitted to sit in the class wearing the Hijab. When the college administrators requested an explanation. They stated that the students and parents knew the college policy.
- When the event was made public, several other institutions in Udupi determined that students should only wear their uniform and identity card. A Karnataka government directive enacted the prohibition on Hijab. Which said that the government was attempting to create consistency among pupils.
Student Protest
- The Karnataka government issued an order stating that a consistent type of clothing is required to be worn at all times. After the order was passed, there was a lot of debate. Following that occurrence, a confrontation arose between Muslim and non-Muslim pupils.
- As non-Muslim students dressed in saffron and began protesting against Muslim students. The situation spread like wildfire across the woods. The situation escalated to the point that authorities were forced to intervene and initiate lath charges against the pupils.
- The condition worsened when a BJP MLA declared that anyone who enters the school wearing a headscarf would face strict punishment. Several political figures reacted angrily to the comment. This adds to the sensitivity of the situation.
Students initially barred from entering the classroom filed a case in the High Court of Karnataka challenging the government order. They cite section 133(2) of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983. They sought the court to declare the order unlawful. Because it infringes on citizens’ fundamental rights to practice religion, as stated in Article 25 of the Indian Constitution.
As the situation became more violent, it became a topic of discussion globally. Malala Yousafzai, the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner. He made a statement on the subject that we are being forced to choose between studying and wearing the hijab at college. “It’s appalling those females aren’t allowed to go to school with their hijabs. Women are still objectified based on how much or how little they wear. The marginalization of Muslim women in India must end.
Fawad Choudhary Pakistan Minister
 Fawad Choudhary, a Pakistani minister, also ridiculed India over the Hijab Row       Controversy and Stated that What is happening in #ModiEndia is scary. Indian society is rapidly deteriorating under insecure leadership. Wearing the #Hujab is a personal choice, just like any other clothing, and citizens must be allowed to make their own decisions. #AllahHuAkbar.
In response to the Pakistani statement, Asaduddin Owaisi. A Lok Sabha Member of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen said that there was no need to intervene in our country’s affairs. You should concentrate on your country’s issue. The Indian Constitution has provided them with their rights and is capable of safeguarding its citizens.
