Why is The King Eternal Monarch got low ratings?
Although cast members tried so hard to relish it, the show didn’t go well. The show makers focused on too much time travel and too many jumping back and forth in the time in the story’s narrative.
The starting point of drama was good because it started for promotions and Lee Minho’s appearance.
But it did not fare well as expected; the ratings are slowing down over time, and based on Nate’s report, the drama showed slow growth in viewership of only 11.6 per cent.
Makers thought it would become their incredible success as it had started trending all over the internet before even airing it for real. But it ended up getting low ratings.
According to STYLE, fans of Lee Minho didn’t want to see Kim Go-Eun as the leading actress.
Critics started to surface online as the drama’s overuse of product placement on scenes is becoming unbearable.
Many viewers noticed the number of sponsored products placed in some parts of the series.
The other reason is this drama used several sponsorships during the show. People noticed the running advertisements in various scenes. So, it didn’t overwhelm the interest of a viewer.
Still, despite the low ratings, the cast remained positive on the set and established close relationships, which is a win for the actors and the fans who truly enjoyed the drama.
