On March 14th in London, the much-anticipated BAFTA 2022 award ceremony took place, and “The Power Of Dog” and “Dune” ruled the night by winning Best Director and Best Film.
The 75th British Academy Film Awards, or Bafta, held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The show opened by Krishnendu Majumdar, the chairman of the British Film Academy. The event is hosted by Rebel Wilson, who returned to the stage after 2020, as last year’s award ceremony was cancelled due to the pandemic.
The gathering was packed with Hollywood’s most glamorous stars. The BAFTA Awards are regarded as one of the key awards season stops before the Oscars. Here is the complete list of winners of the beautiful starry night:

Amidst the prestigious award ceremony, The team behind show tried to reflect the national mood in the middle of a dark-colored as they wanted to pay tribute to those who struggling against Putin’s decision.
BAFTA chairman Krishnendu Majumdar said that the invasion had shocked the world with images and stories of it detailing a truly horrific and heart-breaking situation. Many actors on the BAFTA red carpet wore blue and yellow badges in support of Ukraine, and the host Rebel Wilson showed her “middle finger” in anger at Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In the memory of Lata Mangeshkar
The BAFTA Awards 2022’s ‘In memoriam’, they paid a special tribute to legendary Indian vocalist Lata Mangeshkar, who died on February 6, this year at the age of 92. In the montage, she was honored alongside Hollywood legend Sidney Poitier.
According to the BAFTA homage, she is the first Indian musician to perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
“Her films are extensive, but prominent songs from Anamika (1973), Aasha (1980), Dil Se (1998), and Rang De Basanti can be found (2006). She received India’s highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna, in 2001 “‘In memoriam,’ stated the montage.
This year’s Bafta fashion
The actors dazzled in their designer outfits and rocked the red carpet and presented their glorious performances on stage as well. Many celebrities arrived in somber outfits that seemed to reflect the tone and mood of the theme which is James Bond with 2022, marking 60 years of the movie.
Those celebrities who directly addressed the Russia-Ukrain issue, wore using blue and yellow ribbons. Benedict Cumberbatch, whose movie “The Power of the Dog” was named best picture, meanwhile came with a Ukraine flag pin on his lapel.
Lady Gaga also dazzled in dark hues, walking the red carpet in a gorgeous emerald Ralph Lauren gown that took over 150 hours to create and made up of 50 meters of velvet and silk taffeta.
The singer and actress, who was nominated for best actress while being snubbed in the same category for the Oscars next month, finished the look with Tiffany & Co. diamonds that glistened above a plunging neckline.
Daisy Ridley of “Star Wars” and Caitriona Balfe of “Game of Thrones” wore Vivienne Westwood and Armani Privé, respectively, to wear dignified black gowns. Naomi Campbell, who donned a black Burberry dress with a square neckline and long cape sleeves, was among those who joined them.
British model Adwoa Aboah wore a Saint Laurent strapless gown with a dramatic train, and “Stranger Things” actor Millie Bobby Brown wore a custom lace and velvet Louis Vuitton gown with a dramatic train.
Despite the serious-toned theme, several celebs were more light-hearted with their wardrobe choices. The Oscar de la Renta halter dress worn by Emma Watson had a layered tulle skirt and many men, including Tom Hiddleston and “Belfast” director Kenneth Branagh, wore straight-forward tuxedos befitting of Britain’s best-known spy.
But it was Sebastian Stan’s tuxedo that received the most praise, with his Givenchy-designed ensemble incorporating a white shirt studded with small silver rings, which was one of several actors subjected to speculation about becoming Bond, including Hiddleston. Overall, the event takes place elegantly with all the bright stars.
