Tovino Thomas, the young and promising actor, has surpassed a decade in his acting career.
How did Tovino evolved as one of the prominent actor?
The character played by him, as the title role of the Minnal Murali, comes to our mind when we discuss his acting career. This role supported him to gain world-wide popularity and also gave him a wide variety of chances to make his mark in the cinema world. His casting as a village superhero added the fantasy element, along with some comedy and action.
In an interview with the director, Basil Joseph, he said that he had planned to make this action-fantasy movie for a while, but he was nervous and excited about trying out this genre. His performance as Appuettan in the film Ennu Ninte Moideen will live on in the hearts of his fans. His other notable characters are Bineesh in Theevandi, John Mathew in Mayanadhi, the comical protagonist in Godha as Dasan, and Shaji in the movie Kala, which are registered in the minds of his supporters. He was a handball player and the captain of the team during his high school period. Tovino Thomas represented the district of Thrissur in the district and state level championships in handball. He is a sports enthusiast and always shows his love and support for sports and sports players. He was appointed as the ambassador of the Sammohika Sannadhasena by the Government of Kerala in the year 2021.
At the flood relief camp conducted by the government of Kerala, Tovino Thomas also volunteered to join the flood relief camp. During the risk situation, he motivated youngsters to volunteer at the relief camp. He did not confine himself only to acting, but also showed his interest in other volunteering activities. Tovino’s pre-debut period
Like any other youngster, he was leading his life through academics and sports. He was born on January 21st, 1989 to Ellikal Thomas and Sheela Thomas. He was married to Lidiya Tovino in 2014. His directing career started prior to his acting career. He was appointed as the second unit director for Dulquer Salmaan’s movie “Theevram” by the director Roopesh Peethambaram.
After one year of his assistant director career, he grabbed an opportunity to act in the first lead role in the movie, “Prabhuvinte Makkal”. The movie was successful, as 88% of the Google users liked it, but it was not his turning point in his journey to becoming a successful actor.
His character as an antagonist in the movie “ABCD”, a Dulquer starrer film, was the breakthrough of his career. Now, he is celebrated as one of the most important figures in the South Indian film industry.
