“Ukraine crisis is an outrage and it should never have been allowed to occur, ………….. The problem is not that Putin is smart, it’s that our leaders are dumb. ………………. Putin is playing Biden like a drum. The real problem is that our leaders are dumb, dumb. So dumb. You could take the five worst presidents in history, and they wouldn’t have done the damage President Joe Biden has done in such a short time.”
– Donald Trump (26 Feb 2022)
In the wake to counter Joe Biden, Mr. Donald Trump praised Vladimir Putin humorously and mediocre America’s efforts in the conflict.
This is one such incident where the U.S President took the side of Russia in the recent feud.
The slap on the ego: 9/11 and the U.S
The U.S has always been the best example of an unobligated nation specifically in the global interest. The very truth behind of U.S invasion of Afghanistan to uproot terrorism is to avenge the impact of the 9/11 attacks and nothing else.
Basically, it was the U.S who fostered the Mujahideens (now Taliban) on Afghan grounds, to counter the presence of Soviet forces in the early 80s. Further when the U.S negotiated peace between Israel – Palestine at the Camp David summit in 2000, the Muslim world was upset for the dumbness of U.S to arraign Israel for persecuting Muslims of Palestine.
This made the (U.S funded) Mujahideens to device 9/11 attack and in reality, the perpetrators of the incident not only resided in U.S but also were enrolled in commercial flight training in U.S Florida flight training center.
– This is how the U.S got stung back by the evil it fostered.
Ukraine jilted by the U.S
The haughty NATO
Unlike the present scenario, the U.S had no concern for post-soviet nations. It was those individual nations that approached for NATO membership, owing to the pressure from Russia. And NATO tried everything to avoid confrontation with Russia.
In another view, NATO didn’t exclusively prioritize Russia until Russia occupied Moldova in 1992, Georgia in 2008, and Ukraine in 2015 & 2022.
And, Russia was not disturbed about NATO as NATO was just a defence allay that bordered Russia since 2004 by encapsulating Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Even at present, Russia had no issue with NATO expansion (Finland and Sweden).

Ukraine President “Zelelenskyy” admitted that NATO won’t infuse Ukraine and is avoiding confrontation with Russia.
Further, post disintegration of the U.S.S.R Ukraine was impelled to give up its nuclear arsenals as per the Budapest Memorandum 1994 because Russia being a permanent UNSC member, was the sole proclaimer of nuclear weapons.
This was also endorsed by the then US President Bill Clinton.
Unhindered trade between U.S and Russia
Even at present, the U.S continued to import oil from Russia only until the recent sanctions. A better example of Barack Obama manifests starkly because there were no strict actions for annexing Crimea (Oil imports just dropped a bit in 2014, but peaked again).
The U.S is very sure about Russia’s failure when it desperately held a referendum to annex Ukraine, and U.S immediately shifted focus toward the North Korean missile launch.
U.S Policy favoring China
After the political split between China (People’s Republic of China) and Taiwan (Republic of China) in 1971, China asserted PRC to be recognized as the genuine China under its One China Policy.
Richard Nixon supported PRC and advocated UNSC’s permanent seat be given to PRC, also coerced Taiwan (ROC) to prioritize unification at the earliest and he also withdrew military aid to Taiwan.
Although recently, the U.S has been irksome about China, the recently released U.S Indo-Pacific policy 2020 makes no remarks against China, (it suggests a peaceful resolution to be arrived regarding the Galwan valley clash of 2020 without mentioning China).
