The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tries to intake the constituency through verbal intercommunication among the public and keep them engaged with the political party. In contrast, other political parties such as the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party are more focused on the constituency seats. Especially the constituency of Srirathu in Uttar Pradesh is playing a crucial role in the fifth phase of the assembly elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has won many seats from this constituency in 2012 and 2017 while fielding different majors in the candidate’s role. But the BJP is planning to keep deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, this time into the field of Srirathu.
The 2017 elections were a benchmark set by the BJP, while the other political parties saw the scenario of that year. The constituency of Srirathu is one of the crucial provinces, where any party would like to keep their grip as most of the seats for the fifth phase are present from there itself. The people there are moreover not inclined towards any party.
According to a local source of that constituency, “people here don’t think about the elections and any political party, still, their certain groups that try to maintain and keep the people indulged in a various political campaign.” In this constituency, the significant support is mainly from the non-Jadav community and other backward classes (OBCs) and the non-Jadav Dalits, who can be an essential source of votes to the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Samajwadi Party.
The Social experiment of Engineering
This time, in 2022, while contesting the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party is too confident for their return of power, keeping the pace of recovery of development doubled from the last time.
This happened because of the alliance formed with the various parties such as Apna Dal, the Nishad Party, and OP Rajbhar’s Suheldev Rajbhar Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP). This developed after the elections of 2017; while the Yogi government kept the development very vibrant in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the PM of India kept ongoing meetings with various political parties mentioned above with the Chief Minister of the state.
This stance of the social experiment was first created by Narendra Modi when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He used to comply with his network and strengthen his sources so that his origins and his networks would be in use the most during any crisis. The alliance with all the parties mentioned above happened at a different governance time. They can allow the Bharatiya Janata Party to gain the votes of the non- Jadav OBS and Dalits in the few previous elections. The chunk of votes is gaining from the people of the Srirathu constituency while others are ordered from other parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Election Update for Fifth Phase
For the live updates of the Uttar Pradesh elections, the fifth phase of the assembly election started on the evening of Friday. It would be polled till Sunday; the polling for the fifth phase would end in the evening of Sunday, February 27, 2022. Twelve districts are included in the fifth phase; Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, and Ayodhya are also included.
Some backward districts in the state would go for the polling briefly, including Bahraich and Shravasti. These districts are majorly inclined towards the Bharatiya Janata Party, giving them strength in polling areas.
But the primary outcome would be known with the seats that would be covered on February 27, 2022, with 60 more seats that would vote in the constituency of Srirathu. And the result would be said when these seats would be evaluated based on the polling center and would judge whether BJP’s hand is intact over this area is still intact or not. Thus, the technique of Social Engineering that the BJP powers would unveil on March 10, 2022.
