Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey had a pooja at Vijay’s house in Hyderabad to ward off the evil and for Liger’s success.
Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Pandey are travelling to India for promoting their first ever Pan-India movie, Liger. To ward off the evil Vijay’s mother hosted a pooja at their house in Hyderabad.

On Wednesday Vijay and Ananya both shared some pictures on social media after they performed pooja at his house. Vijay says now his mother will get good sleep as they will be travelling for the promotion.
Vijay Deverakonda shared pictures of the pooja rituals
Vijay shared some pictures on Twitter with his mom and co-star Ananya Pandey after they completed the rituals and pooja. In the pictures, Vijay’s mother is visible tying a sacred band on Ananya’s wrist.
Vijay tweeted the pictures and added a sweet note about his Maa which reads, “This whole month touring across India and receiving so much love already felt like God’s blessing! But mummy (mother) feels we needed his protection. So Pooja and sacred bands for all of us. Now she will sleep in peace while we continue our tour.”
Ananya Pandey felt blessed after the pooja
On Wednesday, Ananya also shared photos of some memorable moments from Vijay’shouse in Hyderabad after they had a pooja for their upcoming movie Liger.
She tells that Vijay’s mother hosted a pooja for their movie and she felt blessed after getting so much love. “Blessings from Vijay’s Amma and pooja at his home in Hyderabad for Liger. Thankful, grateful, blessed. Thank you, aunty.”
Liger is Vijay’s Bollywood debut in which he is sharing the big screen with Ananta Pandey. This movie is Ananys’s first Pan-India movie. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on August 25.
The plot of the story revolves around a mixed-martial arts boxer with a stutter, movie is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
For best results and to give justice to the role Vijay went under full training for martial arts in Thailand on the other hand he also dubbed his dialogues in Hindi all by himself.
The shooting of the movie has done in Telugu and Hindi. It will be released in four languages other than Hindi such as Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.
Meanwhile, there are some rumours that in the upcoming year Vijay will work with director Sandeep Vanga again for some project. Their previous project named Arjun Reddy was a Telugu hit.
Last year, Sandeep took to Twitter to appreciate Vijay for helping middle-class families with groceries during the hard time of COVID-19 lockdown.
Reverting to Sandeep’s tweet, Vijay replied with an ambition to work with him again soon and requested him to write at least 2-3 scripts in lockdown. Vijay tweeted “I miss you, Vanga (Sandeep). Please finish 2-3 scripts in lockdown. I cannot wait two years to shoot.”
