® Sixth phase election began, eyes on Yogi
Today, in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, fifty-seven seats are spread across ten districts. Today is the sixth and second-last phase of the 2022 UP election.
Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, is contesting his first assembly poll from Gorakhpur among the most prominent candidates.
Out of 403 state assembly seats voting for 292 assembly seats is already over. Now the attention has shifted to the crucial and most important Purvanchal region. It has 111 seats which is more than a quarter of the total.
In 2017 the BJP had won 46 of the 57 seats. A total of over 2.14 crore voters in this phase of the election.
Even the Samajwadi Party has also marked the wife of late Upendra Dutt Shukla, a former BJP leader, against the Chief Minister. At the same time, Azad Samaj Party founder Chandrashekhar Azad is also unravelling for the same seat.
Although this time, being in the contest has stimulated the expectations of a significant and prominent victory in all nine assembly seats under the Gorakhpur parliamentary constituency.
The result in this phase will largely depend on [OBCs] the Other Backward Castes and [MBCs] Most Backward Castes, and they influence nearly 30 seats.
On March 7, the remaining seats will go to the polls in the last phase of the election. Whereas on March 10, the votes will be counted.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the elections had reached a decisive stage on polling for the sixth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls

Yogi Adityanath added, “Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections have reached the decisive stage. You have seen developmental projects in the last five years, from AIIMS inauguration to Kushinagar
International Airport.” He further added that it is time to decide between terror-supporting people and us.”
